TipTopp Aquaculture – Enhancing Larval Development and Health of Whiteleg Shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) Using TipTopp Probiotics in Controlled Hatchery Conditions

Trial Highlights

• Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of TipTopp probiotics on larval growth, survival, and overall health of Whiteleg shrimp under controlled hatchery conditions.
• Water Quality: Maintained within optimal ranges for shrimp larviculture across all experimental groups.
• Survival Rates (PL10):
  
  • Ranged from 47.14% to 53.55%.
  • Group 4 (TipTopp Gut top-coated on feed) achieved the highest survival numerically (53.55%).
• Growth Performance:
  
  • Weight: 5.59–5.74 mg; Group 2 significantly heavier than control (P < 0.05).
  • Length: 9.89–10.33 mm; Group 3 significantly longer than control (P < 0.05).
  • Group 4 showed overall better growth performance than control.
  • Size variation (CV): 12.47–13.99% → excellent uniformity (<15%).
• PL10 Quality:
  
  • Muscle-to-gut ratio: 6.00–7.67, indicating strong nutritional quality.
  • Salinity stress test (0 ppt, 60 min) showed low mortality (9–14.25%).
• Health Status: All PL10 tested negative for EMS, WSSV, EHP, and TPD (PCR confirmed).
