TipTopp Aquaculture – Effective Reduction of Total Ammonia Nitrogen, Ammonia, and Nitrite in Shrimp Rearing Water

Trial Highlights

• Objective: To evaluate the effect of TipTopp Pond on nitrogen compounds (TAN, NH₃-N, NO₂-N) in seawater from shrimp rearing tanks.
• Method:
  
  • 12 aerated aquaria filled with shrimp tank seawater (dilutions 10x and 100x).
  • Daily application of 4 ppm TipTopp Pond.
  • Water sampled at 0, 24, 48, and 72 hours for TAN, NH₃-N, and NO₂-N analysis.
• Key positive results:
  
  • Total Ammonia Nitrogen (NH₄-N): TipTopp Pond reduced NH₄-N by 10.2% more than the control during the first 24 hours.
  • Ammonia (NH₃-N): TipTopp Pond reduced NH₃-N by 37.6% more than the control in the first 24 hours.
  • Nitrite (NO₂-N): Although NO₂-N naturally increased, the rate of nitrite formation was three times slower in the TipTopp Pond group compared to control during the first 24 hours.

Overall observation: TipTopp Pond accelerated ammonia and ammonium reduction while slowing nitrite accumulation, supporting healthier water quality dynamics.
